I like the WTNT reports! If I don't feel like reading a thread (and I often
don't) I just delete the message without reading it. I read these.
I like the WTNT reports, not because I am especially fanatical about WTNTs, but because of their fascinatingly mysterious and apparently random nature - presumably because others report direct to Mike. Why there? Why didn't anyone else report them from there? Is it stormy down there? Are they a harbinger of spring? Are they migrating? Etc.. I always enjoy dedicated observers of a species or a topic. They notice things I don't and I learn from them. They remind me to look more closely, to count things, to write things down, and, in the case of WTNTs, to look up instead of just looking around and listening. Also WTNT reports sometimes contain additional observations which it would be a pity to miss. Margaret Cameron 2 Cintra Street Eastern Heights Queensland 4305 Australia 07 3282 9151 |
