Well, this seems to be the logical way to determine the authenticity of the proposed species/sub-species. I will wait for such evidence before making my mind up.

          Can DNA analysis can be performed on feathers or faeces?
If so, and if John found a nesting-hole as reported, and someone to climb up into the clouds, the species dilemma could quickly be resolved.
