How the scarce resources are allocated to conservation is a constantproblem. Do we spend money on saving a sub species eg the Kangaroo IslandGlossy Black Cockatoo, or do we direct that money to the Orange-belliedParrot?

Unfortunately increasing the number of 'at-risk' species by elevating subspecies to species will not lead to an increase in conservation dollars.


And who ever said Australian society was serious about conservation?
