The John Young Wildlife website states that Dr. Ian Gynther is working on a
scientific paper with John Young. Ian Gynther is pretty well the driving
force behind the CFP recovery team and so I think it is unlikely that the
location will become a stopover a John Young tour. Furthermore, after
reading what John had to do just to catch a glimpse of these parrots, it
doesn't sound like many birders would have the abilities to see one.
As for the Greg Roberts article, I think it perhaps oversteps the line when
it suggests that the photo may have been altered on a computer. I doubt that
John Young or Ian Gynther would create a new parrot just for some publicity
- it's obvious they've found something special but would like to keep things
under wraps until the scientific paper is published.
