Mike,
I've been on the news, in the paper and on one or two other programs a
number of times and can tell you all of them have made mistakes. Some of the
mistakes have been small whilst others have been massive. I guess you only
have to watch Media Watch on the ABC to see how many mistakes (that should
never have been made) are made. Having said this we must thank the media and
John for bringing this wonderful discovery to our homes. I look forward to
hearing more about this bird.

Further to the discussion on media inaccuracies etc. I wonder if anyone
noticed the new NSW Tourism advert on TV this week, hosted by Mike Whitney?
He comments on how he travelled up to the outback corner of NSW where it
meets QLD and S.Aust, how beautiful the flowers were, and how when they
left
the car, they were astounded by the flock of budgerigars flying over, the
beauty of the yellows and greens, the blues and greys !!!
Must have been written by someone who has only seen budgerigars in their
local pet shop?
