Hi All,

I've known about this species for a while after having been alerted to the possibility of this species existing by a friend some time ago. At the time the photographer John Young apparently had some doubts as to whether or not the bird photographed was in fact a Coxen's Fig Parrot. Now we know that it is actually a new species. Sadly though it's another species which we must be concerned about. The plight of this bird would almost certainly be like that of the Coxen's Fig Parrot.

Yours Sincerely
Mr Jade Welch
