Would it not be great if the good birding folk in Melbourne did a Garden Bird Survey copying the one we have been doing in Canberra since 1981? All the methods and software are available, ready to go. (As fully described in my GBS Report on the survey.) By the way, the King Parrot is a common and drastically increasing species in Canberra.
