A new species for the home list in inner suburban Melbourne. Yesterday morning I heard a single Australian King Parrot giving its powerful call not far from the house in Richmond (near Burnley & Swan Streets). Most likely an aviary escapee as it was a single bird 'sounding' quite lost. I've heard of no other reports of the species from nearby locals but am interested in others experience.
