It's not nectar exactly but I've seen House Sparrows pecking at the tubes on
the top of sugar dispensers at a local coffee house.
Also several records of them feeding on Silky Oak - Grevillea robusta - flowers. They are just one of the exotic species that are attracted to this lovely tree, an alien in these parts.
