Graham, I think even at this stage a properly presented case based on Johnson & Johnson's actual measurement (compared to bill length) of primary projection beyond the tail could get your case through so don't give up. Chris Corben phoned me from Missouri this morning and we chatted for an hour! Apparently this bird is being discussed on some ID forum in the USA with views expressed both ways. He will send both you and I some of their comments. Actually, I'd like to pass the ball and drop out and leave it to you to pursue as I am busy with other things and I go away at the end of October. But I do have some important emails to forward first. I do wish people would hit 'Reply All'. One from Keith Brandwood is very interesting and contains supportive data. I've been doing other things last couple of days. Mike Carter 30 Canadian Bay Road Mt Eliza VIC 3930 Ph: (03) 9787 7136 Email: |
