Thanks for sharing your photos.
Your American Plover shots certainly brings back good memories of the
bird we saw on Kooragang Island, Newcastle a few years ago. I may have
also had a probable one 9 years ago in Cairns before I think the two
species were split. It is quite possible that this species may occur
annually in Australia with them going unnoticed or unconfirmed.
