Long-tailed parrot in Geelong (prob esc)

I mentioned this subject to a friend who has informed me that long-tailed parrots (P. longicauda) are not kept in Australia and if they are they are in extremely low numbers. He believes it is more likely to be an Alexandrine or one of the Australian Broad-tailed Parrots.

Yours Sincerely
Mr Jade Welch

Russell -

I don't have a good reference to hand, but it could be one of the Psittacula parakeets, such as Rose-ringed (P. krameri) or Long-tailed (P. longicauda). I believe that these are not uncommon in captivity here.
