Hugo,
I mentioned this subject to a friend who has informed me that long-tailed
parrots (P. longicauda) are not kept in Australia and if they are they are
in extremely low numbers. He believes it is more likely to be an Alexandrine
or one of the Australian Broad-tailed Parrots.

I don't have a good reference to hand, but it could be one of the
Psittacula parakeets, such as Rose-ringed (P. krameri) or Long-tailed (P.
longicauda). I believe that these are not uncommon in captivity here.
