In my part of Brisbane, the crows are consistently the first cab off
the rank, starting well before dawn - often a good half hour before the
lorikeets and kookaburras.

Maybe the Kookas sit in taller trees and so have a relatively later

I have found that the EY Robins are the first to call during the 'day

Kookaburra's are in the area they beat the EY Robins by up to an

before dawn.
The same seems to happen on dusk, where the Robins are usually the
last
to call, but the Kooka's invariably have the 'last laugh', just after
dark.
