Hi All,

Whilst travelling with three of my mates through Gunnedah (in NSW) recently I witnessed an awesome site. Whilst eating breakfast at an eatery in Gunnedah we saw a single Red-rumped Parrot land in a three metre tall Eucalypt. Less then five seconds later a Peregrine Falcon swooped down crashing through the foliage of the tree and grasped the Red-rump in its talons before taking off to devour its prey in an unknown location. I have previously seen these birds but have never seen them hunting or with prey in their possesion. Even my three mates who think i am warped for watching birds were impressed.

Yours Sincerely
Mr Jade Welch
