Perhaps a useful distinction, is between irregular nocturnal calls, and the
'dawn chorus' when the individual's calling is repeated intermittently for
some appreciable time (weather conditions permitting) to proclaim the
individual's presence and re-establish communication after the (mostly)
silent period of darkness.
