The following sighting has just been reported.
Area: SA
Date: Monday, 3 April, 2006
Observer: Colin Rogers
Location: Tolderol GR, Lake Alexandrina (SA)
Observation:
A Little Stint was located in the pond south of the hide by Leigh
Schmidt. On the following day (04/04/06) it was seen by Colin Rogers and
Win Syson feeding on the mud with Red-necked Stints and a few Curlew
Sandpipers in the pond north of the hide. Most noticable plumage feature
is a a buff mantle V. Other features as per Little Stint acquiring
breeding plumage, particularly extensive orange-rufous margins to the
tertials.
