Corellas and Galahs

Interesting points being made here about Corellas and Galahs.   They rarely 
receive very positive publicity because of the farmer-friendly ethos of the 
Australian political and cultural milieu.  Unfortunately for the birds, this 
means that many people have become quite comfortable taking extermination into 
their own hands: for instance, in the Lake Macquarie area recently there was a 
mass bird kill around a place called Blackalls Park.

The rumour is that someone did this because of the "noise" of the birds.
