Ultimate tick

Well I was happy to get my ultimate tick for 2006, that being a Red-necked Phalarope at Werribee and I looked and looked at it until I had enough (for the time being!). This is a bird I dreamed of seeing.

My best other ticks would have to include Sooty Albatross, Blue Petrel (seeing 3 behind the boat was really good), Chatham Island Albatross, Baird’s, Buff-breasted and Stilt Sandpiper, Red Goshawk, 100 Gouldian Finches, lots of Hooded Parrots ……… oh I can blab on all night!
