Not so much an ultimate ticks, but i've had some ultimate ticking days this year. In January, i ticked Long Toed Stint, Red Necked Phalarope, Oriental Pratincole and Wood Sandpiper all on the same day at the WTP. Last Sunday, i had another UltimateTicking day up at Darwin thanks to Sheryl and Arthur Keates. Within 3 hours i ticked Little Ringed Plover, Yellow Wagtail, the nominate race of Little Egret (maybe not technically a tick), and Black-headed Gull.
On a more cheerful note. What was your last consummated ultimate tick, the bird which you dreamed of but finally got - and where? Mine is Forest Wagtail - Thailand. Tim Murphy PS. Took me a long time to twig - that don't look very like the illustrations in the books. |
