Hi all,the largest flocks of finches I have seen are definitely Zebras. At Newhaven flocks that numbered tens of thousands were common drinking at the troughs. At places in western Queensland I have seen similar numbers. We saw a large flock (some thousands) of Painted finches at a small windmill fed dam south of Bedourie in 1999.
