Yep, they flush on my place (SEQ, 500m).

Birding aus people On my recent three walk walkign trip in Arnhem land-July 2004, the leader of the trip stated that a tawny frogmouth had flushed froma tree in front of him. As he was not a birdo and every previous tawny frogmouth that I had ever seen sat tight as can be, I didn't believe him and assumed that he was confusing the bird with a boobook. However on three occassions over the rest of the walk, I saw tawny frogmouths flush from trees, that we were sitting by or I was walking towards. Has anyone else ever had experiences with flushing tawny frogmouths? Gary --
