Well, at 145E you could also say "far west"
Yes, there are lots of ironies, like in SA, where they think Port
Augusta is in the "far north". The real irony in Qld is the way people
refer to Gladstone-Mackay as "central Qld".

You must be standing a long way south for anywhere there are Koalas to
look like the far north.
Regards from Alan who also lives in a place erroneously referred to as
the 'far north' (Yungaburra, 145* 33' 25"E 17* 16' 40"S) as this is a
long way south of even Cape York.
