Hi Andy

This species has is a light terminal tail band which I am certain you have
seen. I'm not certain how distinctive the tail band you allude to is but
could it be a lighting effect or graduation between the green and the light
band? (I've no idea where "Ozbirdpix" is)

If the band is distinctive, it may be worth checking out specimens held in
the Australian Museum (Check with Walter Boles - he is currently in central
Australia hunting Night Parrots and will return to his roost at the Aust Mus
in early August). You'll quickly be able to determine if this is a clinal
character, a discrete feature of a cohesive population, or perhaps a one-off
mutation.

Regards - Ricki
