On Tuesday night I emailed this group asking about the bright blue, broad, subterminal tailband on the Superb Fruit-Dove. The bird, a female, is currently in Sheldon Forest, Sydney. The ensuing silence is deafening. Does anyone have any explanation for this feature or is it unknown and therefore worthy of a published note?
