Ospreys, whether sedentary or migratory, like to hold a territory over a
number of years. No doubt Ospreys that try to hold territories in inland
Australia get a bit disconcerted by the variability of inland waterbodies.
One year the bird's nest could be in a tree surrounded by water and the next
it could be miles from any water.
