Those inland records may well have been wandering
Ospreys but some may have been misidentified juvenile/immature White-bellied
Sea-Eagles which can look a little like Ospreys if observed under poor
conditions of visibility or for a short duration or by inexperienced
observers. No doubt some Ospreys do wander inland during the non-breeding
season.
