Hi Colin
A study a did a few years back (Emu 97:121-125, 1997)
showed that in Brisbane Forest Park, west of Brisbane,
they called throughout the year. Slightly less in winter but not
the noticeable drop off in calling that I found in catbird and noisy
pitta.
Whether this is applicable to your area, I don't know.
Cheers
Peter

Hi all
Do whipbirds migrate or just shut up for the winter? All of them are
suddenly silent around where I live near Toronto (Lake Macquarie NSW). There
were a few around so they can't all have been eaten by cats!
Cheers
