G'day all,
Do all Birding-Aus Mailing list members know what format they are
using ?
I suspect not ! A friend bought a new PC with Norton installed, but
was unaware how to check it was getting updates or even doing any sort
of virus check .. it wasn't. The PC is still back at the shop being
cleaned of several nasty viruses.
For Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express users
1
When preparing a new email click "Format" (in the top tool bar) then
click "Plain Text" in the "Drop Down Menu"
2
But to send Plain Text for selected addresses (e.g.Birding-Aus):
- Open the Address Book (Shortcut is "Ctrl" + "Shift" + "B")
- Select the "Birding-Aus" address line
- Click Properties
- Select the "Name" Tab
- Tick the little box alongside "Send E-Mail using Plain Text only"
- Click "OK"
3
Information for formatting other Mail programs
(eg Eudora, Hotmail, Pegasus, Netscape, etc.) can be found at

ps
But one MS OE feature escapes me
When say "In" box is open
Tools > Options > Send (tab)
there is a section for "News Sending Format"
BUT, How does that apply to the Birding-Aus Mailing List ?
