Hi All Grey Butcherbirds in Brisbane have certainly increased over the 20 years between the two Garden Bird Surveys conducted by the QOS/Birds Queensland. In 1999/2000 they were recorded from 14% more sites than in 1979/80, and overall had 13% more weekly records. Of interest, the Pied Bucherbird was NOT among the list of species that had increased by at least 10%. See Sunbird 32:37-51 (2002) for more details.
