I have another question if anyone can help me. I am wondering if any of you observe and know how long a baby/juvenile Eastern/Crimson Rosellas, Rainbow/Musk/Little Lorikeets stay with their family group or with mum and dad?? Just curious. We raise a lot of these and normally release them as soon as they can recognise & feed on their natural foods. I actually recaptured 3 of 7 Crimson Rosellas I raised and they were skin and bone, with hardly any body fat on them? I held on to 2 Eastern Rosellas for longer than normal and they have been out in the wild now for over a year now and they look good and healthy and have had 2 babies. The same with 2 Crested Pigeons they have been out in the wild for over a year and have 2 babies too. All the other ones I raised and released earlier I never see again. I am wondering whether or not to hold on to the ones I have in care now that I have raised and are now in aviaries, longer like I did with the other ones. I think they must stay with their family/parents a little longer than we think. I am hoping someone may be able to help me?

Thankyou
