Is this true?
My Red Cedar (Toona australis) loses all its leaves for a short time each
winter.
I also had the impression that the Kapok tree of the top end (is it native?)
is deciduous at some time of the year but could be wrong. Anyone know of any
others?

Alanna Moore, in her book 'Backyard Poultry - Naturally', calls Melia
azedararch the Neem Tree, and recommends the use of various parts of the
tree for treating chook ailments. 'Neempeace' from The Channon in NSW (near
Lismore) produces a spray containing the active ingredient azadirachitin
which can be used as a pest control for chooks. As Syd Curtis said 'One
man's meat is another man's poison'. The difference between a medicine and a
poison is in the quantity, even water will kill you if you drink too much of
it.
