Hi Netters,

On Thursday 11/12 I went to a Birds Australia outing 1km north of Georgetown at the entrance to the Tamar River to Launceston. It was a very windy day making it hard to stand let alone hold the scope. Walking around the rocky mudflats the following were seen:-

               Greenshanks               4

               Ruddy Turnstones       14

               Curlew Sandpipers      14

               Red-necked Stints     100+

               Red-capped Plovers     10

               Bar-tailed Godwits        14

               Pied Oystercatchers     16

               Black Oystercatchers     8

               Little Pied Cormorants    4

               Large Black Cormorant   1

               Silver Gulls

               Pacific Gulls

               Black Swans

               White-fronted Chats        2

I was given information on a wader area near the Devonport Airport to check out.

All the Best
