Great-billed Heron and other birds on the Mossman River, Nth Qld

G'day,

 

On Friday, Maria and I spent a most enjoyable morning on the Mossman River with Peter the 'Mangrove Man'. He knows his mangroves and where to find the birds:- Double-eyed Fig-parrots (nesting, early?), Mangrove Robin, Shining Flycatcher, Great-billed Heron, Black Butcherbird and Yellow Oriole to name a few of what we saw.

 

The only thing against Peter is his lack of interest in rainforest; perhaps he was winding me up.
