Pentax Digi-Binos

Terry, I considered the digi-binos last year, until I read the fine print and noticed that the camera has only 3x optics, which isn't much use for photographing birds. The other week I noticed that another retailer had docked a $2-300 off the price of the Nikon Coolpix 5700. In the case of the digi-binos - I think the retailers are looking to sell some stock that hasn't been moving.

Regards, Laurie.

I have found out that Ted's Camera House is selling Pentax Digi-Bino DB100
for $149.

The normal recommended price is $599.

These are the 7X binoculars with the digital camera built in. The
resolution of the photos is not great (.9 megapixels) but for occasional
use, especially for close birds, this would be good enough for email
transfer and viewing on a PC.

Those of you living in Victoria should have no trouble finding a Ted's shop
but those in other states (including here in Queensland) may find it a
little more difficult.

Cheers
