Oooh Eggy thump lad, dats wot I've bin saying feryers, me wee luddie.

Keith, I'm worried about you my good friend? ask a bander to think? surely that's like asking colour graphics nerds to come up with a computer graphics system for colour dipping eight avian toes.

Thats 8 x 7 x 6 x 5 x 4 x 3 x 2 times 256 colours? I'll let the maths fella's work that one out before a colour is repeated.

Two colours per toe? could be more?

"Food dyes ain't food dyes eh?" similar type program as to the bottles used in computer printers.

Mind you that sound system seems the best? ultra modern sound proggy's being what they are eh? no need to catch them and risk death by fright.

Ooroo mates from a Hen pecked JAG. I need a "H2olly Day".

Hi all,

Val Curtis, I have mentioned the subject of dialects previously.

A couple of years ago I was at Mt Hotham and noticed how different the Yellow faced Honey eater calls were to those I am familiar with in Sydney. I raise the question, would the dialect be different on a sonagram. If so couldn't this be used to track the migration of this species and others, it would be a dammed sight easier than banding.

I have also found this dialect in other species when on the Gold Coast but don't remember which species. What do you think?
