Question on birdbaths from a grazier

I suggest fixing plastic or galvanised mesh ( 20 to 40mm, in size) along the
edges, to hang just below the water level. If this is left hanging, and only
fixed at the top, any large animal that falls in should not dislodge it and
the birds should be able to climb out.
