Edwin, Looks like a good week's birding. I was at Barren Grounds on the 10th and saw a flock of about 50 yellow tailed black cockatoos. It was late in the day and the light was low and they were quite a way off. I also saw what looked like a raptor flying towards them and seemingly stirring them up, but they didn't fly right off. Couldn't ID due to poor light. Incidentally we also saw a Eastern Bristlebird up very close (about 2m or less), It didn't seem concerne by us at all. Regarding Eastlakes, could you tell me how to access the area you were talking about please? regards, Chris Ross Birding-Aus is on the Web at www.shc.melb.catholic.edu.au/home/birding/index.html To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message "unsubscribe birding-aus" (no quotes, no Subject line) to |
