Thanks to Peter Fuller for alerting us to the shopping centre proposal south of 
Geelong.  I hadn't heard anything at all about it and I live in Geelong.  One 
slightly positive thing is that it will be on the eastern side - our prevailing 
winds here are westerly and south-westerly, swinging around form the north on 
hot days.  We rarely get a south-easter, and even less frequently winds from 
due east or north east.  That at least should keep the bulk of 'free-range' 
bags out of Reedy Lake - but of course the disturbance due to construction and 
ongoing use are of concern.
