Hello everyone,Sydney listers,
A trip to Pittown Lagoon yesterdaay produced 2 King Quail in the long weeds
abutting the western side of the observation mound, they were calling well
at 630hrs and were flushed on 2 occassions.
At Freemans Reach 200+ White-browed with a smattering of Masked
Woodswallows were feeding in Silky Oak trees.
On another matter there appears to be many less Yellow-faced Honey eaters
around this year and certainly less Scarlet HE and Stubble Quail. The usual
paper barks are flowering in Mitchel Park which are usually full of
Scarlets
but I have not recorded one there.
I will see you all at the Dawn Chorus there 430hrs this Sunday.
