Some of my notable carpark birds (and while in the car) have included:

Thicked-billed Grasswrens at Monkey Mia carpark,WA (though I would not consider this too difficult as they are so tame! I am sure others had this experience)

Arctic Jaeger at the carpark near Nobby's head,Newcastle,NSW (during a wet day)

Brush Bronzewing at Redhill Reserve car park, Oxford Falls NSW (fairly recently)

Rufous Bristlebird, at Port Campbell,VIC carpark

Western Bristlebird, at Little Beach carprak,WA

And while just out of the car, my first ever Rose-crowned Fruit-doves and a Yellow-eyed Cuckoo-shrikes (8 of these) ay\t the Sea Acres carpark Port Macquarie, NSW several years ago.

Ground Parrot (well my brother saw while in the car) while parked on the side of the road while I was looking at one feeding out in the open in front of me at Jarvis Bay, NSW.
