G'day Chris and BA~er's, Sounds like a nice drink to me eh? Knots on the rocks? .... excuse me for asking please Chris but are you in fact saying that light diesel when spilled into the ocean, lets say in a 100 tonne centralized dollop causes no problems? the light diesel will magically and mysteriously just totally disappear? and that light diesel will not instantly strip away natural body oils? it is not carcinogenic? John A. Gamblin friend of HMS Victory give me a tall ship and a star to lead me by. Chris Ross <> wrote: Modern turbine driven warships use a light diesel, quite like a heavy kerosine as fuel, they burn it in a turbine quite like a jet engine. Luckily this will break up and weather off quite quickly, especially in windy or high swell conditions. Not ideal, but a lot better than spilling bunker fuel oil, which is almost like tar.
