Dear all,
I looked for the Laughing Gull this morning between 6.20 and 7.00 but
without success. There were very few gulls near the Bongaree jetty where
the bird has been seen, and all were Silver Gulls. I also checked out the
sandbanks to the east of Buckley's Hollow where there were reasonable
numbers of gulls and terns, but again drew a blank on the LG. There were a
number of trawlers heading out into the bay and each had a gull escort, so
perhaps it was off for its morning constitutional. It would also be worth
anyone birding the Redcliffe Peninusla keeping an eye out for this bird.
Regards
Greg
