I missed the start of this thread, so forgive me if I state the obvious.
As far as I know all GPS units can do this conversion internally, so that's
probably the easiest way - even though the "keyboard" is rather laborious
for doing lots of them. Another way around this is to enter UTMs in a text
file and upload it to the GPS, then convert later. I've done this a few
times with my Garmin38. I also have some old DOS software that does UTM -->
lat/long conversions and vice versa quite easily. Let me know if you want
to try that & I'll zip them up for you & e-mail them.
