Hi All,
At the place I stay while doing fieldwork in Newtown, Geelong, I
have noticed a big increase in Tree Sparrow numbers this year.
Last year I only saw 1 or2 at most every now and then, in the last
two months or so I TS are nearly as common as House Sp in the
back yard here. I commonly see 3-4 every time I walk out the back
door.
Perhaps they are the same individuals, but has anyone else in
Melb noticed an increase in TS? I was told at one point that the
only 'safe' place to see TS was Melbourne botanic gardens, any
comments?
Cheers,
Paul McDonald
