Marilyn,How about natural predation by birds of prey. e.g. Red Goshawk, Grey Falcon, Peregrine Falcon, Australian Hobby, Little Eagle, Square-tailed Kite. This could be as high as 8 on your list in terms of numbers. Before you eradicate these threats, please let me see a Red Goshawk first ..... And there is parasitism by cuckoos.Mangrove destruction is a problem, but hardly rates number 3 by itself. Probably just best left as part of general habitat destruction in number 1. ________________________________________________________________ Frank O'Connor Birding WA http://www.iinet.net.au/~foconnor 8C Hardy Road Email : Nedlands WA 6009 ICQ : 14655047 Phone : +61 8 9386 5694 Birding-Aus is on the Web at www.shc.melb.catholic.edu.au/home/birding/index.html To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message "unsubscribe birding-aus" (no quotes, no Subject line) to |
