Yesterday I was standing near North Rocks Road in the Sydney suburb of Carlingford when all the noisy miners began their alarm calls and a peregrine falcon flew past. This is the first one I have seen after 6 years in the area and was surprised as there are not many tall buildings or cliff faces about. Is this a local bird ? Has anyone else seen it in the area ?
