>Is this a local bird ? Has anyone else seen it in the area ? Hi Arron, I have not seen the one in Carlingford, but about 4 months ago, I was walking the dogs in a park here in South Penrith, when a Peregrine dived and caught a bird flying above me. It then carried it to a high TV mast and proceeded to feed there. I watched it through binoculars for some 15 minutes. This is also an area with no cliffs etc. However it is just below the Blue Mountains escarpment.
