I remember talking to John Young (of owl fame) a few years back; he did
segments on 'The Great Outdoors' program when it first started, and
currently has a segment on the local news every Wednesday.

He told me that he and Ernie Dingo had approached the TV station about
making a series of wildlife programs but was told it was 'not commercial
enough'. Hopefully things have changed and they may be a popular choice 1)
if they are available and willing, and 2) if there is a network willing to
broadcast it.
