They don't come much cuter than a Willy-wagtail baby not long out of the nest. It was doing lots of wagging with a tiny tail while its 2 siblings hid among the leaves of a feral Camphor Laurel. It's parents were pretty excited at our approach too! This was in a park at Indooroopilly in Brisbane. The only visible nest was a rather large, neat, mud nest, big enough for a Mudlark. I see Pizzey & Knight says the Mudlark frequently nests near a nesting Willy Wagtail. Perhaps it's a matter of more lookouts on duty. I couldn't see any eyebrow on the fledgeling.
