Dear Birding-Ausers,

I have had a bit of mostly private e-correspondence in reply to my posting
of the other day. Gratifyingly, the drift was positive and supportive.

The "competition" for the best quote remains open. The best submissions to
date are:

- 'Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth ',

- "Peace", and

- "Before you take the splinter out of your neighbour's eye, first take the
log out of your own".

A friend also sent me:

"Boy, this got you going, didn't it? It's the most e-voluble I can recall
you being. You've obviously finally cracked! I presume we won't hear from
you for a good few months now as you fall exhausted back into your
e-torpor. Cheers, O tolerant one."

but no proposed quote. Maybe, he didn't have his bible with him.

Finally, there was one very worrying development that arose from my e-mail.
Tony Russell sent me a note, agreeing with me. Where did I go wrong?

Chris
